About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being the best version of myself that I can be.

ABOUT ME

I am artistic, friendly, curious, and adventurous. I like to think that I'm not too dumb and that I can even be funny (sometimes).

PHILOSOPHY

Dream, Believe, Achieve, Remember.

// About travelling // Learn : Experience : Relax

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE

My house may available as a couchsurfing spot! I surfed a few times and always had a blast. It was an incredible experience. I talk about this amazing unique way to encounter people to EVERYBODY who asks for travel advice. I honestly could have my own little advertisement campaign for CS :p

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed four times now and LOVED it so much. You get to meet amazing people who become friends. Traveling with tips from locals is the best. I want to keep on couchsurfing more and more. People are great, and the planet we share is a beautiful place ! It's partly couchsurfing that taught me that.

Interests

I like getting to know new places. Traveling is probably the thing I like best in life and when I spend too long without it, I am unwell. I am interested in everything that is related to people, different languages and cultures. Apart from that, music and arts in general grab my attention very easily. What makes my life the most engaging is debates and discussions: I appreciate questioning my point of view and talking with people to hear their ideas based on their experiences and reality. Reading, learning, educating myself are important to me. I also LOVE animals (especially my cat and dog)!

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC : almost all genres.
A few of my all time favorites in no specific order: Muse, Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, Florence + the Machine, Bon Iver, Patrick Watson, Stromae, Chopin, Daft Punk, John Mayer, The Pretty Reckless, Pink Floyd, Malajube, Coldplay, Alt-J, Radiohead, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, Charles Aznavour, Daughter, Bran Van 3000, Misteur Valaire, Armistice, Mumford & Sons, Debussy, The Killers, Coeur de pirate, Tame Impala, Edith Piaf, Hozier, Sam Smith, John Legend, Kaytranada, Tom Walker, Chet Faker, Gims, Dadju, Eminem, Kodaline, Gorillaz... Also, am a fan of amazing accoustic covers, anything guitar. Enough said already!

BOOKS :
My favorite story ever is The Count of Monte-Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (son).
The Harry Potter Saga is probably the one I've read the most.
Best nonfiction : I'd say Scar Tissue but I also liked Not without my daughter by Bethy Mahmoody, and James Frey's A million little pieces very much.
I really like graphic novels too. I recommand MAUS to everybody. Craig Thompson's integral work is amazing as well.

MOVIES :
many different genres here too.
The Godfather 1 and 2 are top on my list, then HP saga, Lord of the Ring, Despicable Me, The Avengers, Notre-Dame-de-Paris (the musical's film), Crash, The Bournes, Les Misérables (2012), Les Choristes, The Lorax. Some indepedant movies definitly make the cut: Water by Deepa Mehta, french movie Chaos by Coline Serreau, Live and become (Radu Mihaileanu), all of Nadine Labaki's movies, that is just to name a few.

I have so much more to say but I need to keep something for when I meet you in person and we go for a cup of tea or coffee or whatever you like to have!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camel riding in the desert in Tunisia & Morocco

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH: I can teach the languages I speak. I can also probably teach one or two good recipes that I know.

LEARN: EVERYTHING. Anything you want to share! I'm very curious, I love to learn. I think I am a great student :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories about my trips and life experiences. I can share positive energy and smiles as well as quality time doing an activity together. I'm always down for an adventure. I can share food (could be as simple as recipes) or I'd be happy to make an elaborate meal to have together for dinner, that or I’d love to treat you to a nice meal out too! I am happy to share anything I know as well.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cuba, Dominican Republic, England, France, Germany, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, United States
