About Me

I am a grad student pursing an MBA and Master of Environmental Management at Yale. I am passionate about sustainable consumption and have been building a secondhand children's clothing business, which I plan to work on full-time after I graduate. Before grad school, I lived and worked for 3 years in Sierra Leone, Uganda, and South Africa, with a few different global health and leadership nonprofits, and in Boston (my home city) before that. I love reading, traveling, secondhand shopping, having good conversations, eating good food, drinking tea, being with animals, and being outside.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've surfed once, hosted a few times, and met up with people many times, all of which have been great. I love the concept of Couchsurfing and international exchange in general, and it's important to me to get to know people from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My all-time favorite books are Lolita, The Second Sex, Love in the Time of Cholera, The Elegance of the Hedgehog, and Infinite Jest, and I'm constantly reading and hoping to add to that list. I love music and can't live without Spotify. I'm not huge on movies but enjoy a good one from time to time, and when I like a movie I obsess over it for days.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gorilla tracking in Rwanda was one of the most magical experiences of my life. I highly recommend a trip to Rwanda (or Uganda or DRC) just to do this - it's as unbelievable as everyone says.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a good editor and am always happy to review friends' writing and resumes. I also love giving career/life advice in general. I want to learn Italian and more about African music.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to make soup!
