About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Never stop learning! There is always something to learn from everyone you meet.

ABOUT ME

I love people because I love stories, and people offer an endless supply. I will discuss anything, serious or ridiculous, but tend to avoid approaching political topics and arguing for the sake of an arguing (the two often seem to intersect). I always try to be open and flexible to change. My passion is writing and reading, but I also love the outdoors, music, and art of any kind.

PHILOSOPHY

Never let anyone stop you from reaching your dreams. Give it your all, and never give up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to go to shows! I also love finding out-of-the-way places, whether it's a bar, a restaurant, or an antique shop.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never CouchSurfed before, but I have met people in hostels when I backpacked around Europe a few years ago. I loved the opportunity to meet people from all over who also value traveling and learning about the world from a global perspective.

Interests

Books, film, music...but basically art of any kind. Beauty in all of its many forms.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Beatles and pre-Beatles oldies, electronic...and Joanna Newsom.
Movies: Hitchcock, David Lynch, Wes Anderson, Hayao Miyazaki. I also like old silent films and foreign films! The best movie I've seen recently was The Artist.
Books: All kinds! But I'm really into Russian authors right now, though: Tolstoy, Dostoevsky, and Nabakov are my big three.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studying abroad in Oxford, England, and visiting Japan.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have few "practical" skills, but I know a lot about books and literature, reading and writing. I also love health and fitness! I'm always up for early morning runs and/or yoga.
