About Me

In a nutshell, I'm from Louisiana, moved to Montreal now I'm moving back to the U S of A with my best friend Logan. We are moving to Austin, TX but are making a few stops on the way with a mini van full of our stuff. I've been pretty off the map of couch surfing since I moved to Montreal but am hoping that with this trip I can get back on it! I work as a technician and instructor in Media Arts and Logan is doing his post doc at UT Austin in biology. We are both super clean, organized, respectful people. We won't use all of your toilet paper and will do all of the dishes. We are also both LGBTQ and are only looking to stay in places that are LGBTQ friendly. I do a lot of things people my age do- listen to way too many podcasts, bike riding, reading, TV, cooking (love cooking), baking, site seeing, camping, all the nature things, exercise and the occasional drink. We are very easy going!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I kind of stopped couch surfing when I moved to Montreal but I used to host people in New Olreans and I hope to host people in Austin.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love couch surfing! I met my best friend Logan by proxy through Couch Surfing and have made lasting connections with people all over the US. It's more than a free place to stay, it's meeting people who actually live in the places you are visiting that give you a local and more personal travel experience.

Interests

I've been doing a ton of sewing lately, learning to make my own clothes which I really enjoy. Also just finished a week long road trip in the eastern side of Canada which was gorgeous and amazing. Highly recommend PEI and Nova Scotia!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well when sleeping on someone's couch you should obviously be respectful. Clean up after yourself, be mindful of the host(s) and their roommates' space and privacy, and just respect whatever rules the host has set. Feedback from surfing on anyone's couch is always helpful. And if there is ever something wrong, please be straightforward.

I can teach you how to make bread, cook cajun food, sewing, edit video anddddd probably some other fun things? lol

I am open to learning anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Be open! Hosting a variety of people from different places gives you insight into different cultures and makes hosting really exciting. There's always so much you can learn from people who are traveling.
