About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I love to learn and try anything. This often works against me as I never quite finish what I start. As a result, I've wanted to be anything from a music producer to an actress, to a lawyer, a professor, now a broadcast journalist, and have learned everything from spanish, cello, guitar, bass, drums, and karate.

I've been described as someone who loves justice, both loves and hates to be alone, and knows too much music.
I'm in my last year at McGill University in Montreal studying Environment and Development and I love producing environmental content for radio. I've has some of my best experience couchsurfing and I hope to meet new couchsurfers every year!

PHILOSOPHY

" I just want to be a person who says, this is what I am, this is what I do, I saw what's on my mind." Tupac

"A person with a clear heart and open mind can experience the wilderness anywhere on Earth. It is a quality of one's own consciousness. The planet is a wild place and always will be." Gary Snyder

"I would like to leave behind me the conviction that if we maintain a certain amount of caution and organization we deserve victory… You cannot carry out fundamental change without a certain amount of madness. In this case, it comes from nonconformity, the courage to turn your back on the old formulas, the courage to invent the future. It took the madmen of yesterday for us to be able to act with extreme clarity today. I want to be one of those madmen. We must dare to invent the future." Thomas Sankara

Interests

Good books, good people, good food, good music! I love a good bargain, but I'm willing to put all my time and money in these four things.
I can spend an entire day reading a good book- thrillers, autobiographies, literature...the list goes on.
I love to discuss with people, and I love it even more when we disagree, it makes for a good time!
I would live on the street, as long as I could eat well. What is more important that what your body consumes?! don't get me started on prosciutto, cheese, fresh bread, plantains, arepas, sushi!! AAAh!
And of course good music - I would spend an entire day if I wrote down what I like. For the moment, my favorite artist is Bob Marley

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent two nights near a village inside of the Grand Canyon. I expected the hot days and cold nights, but waterfalls, and lush vegetation?! It also opened my eyes to the realities of being a Native; this is an experience too easily ignored and forgotten by those of who live in North America.
I've also spent quite a lot of time in my home country, Rwanda. This is yet another example of seeing the unexpected. This is a place for everyone to discover for themselves. As a lover of independence and self-dependency, I couldn't hope to be from a better country.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Liberia, Morocco, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, United States, Zambia

Countries I’ve Lived In
