I've lived here for quite a few years studying and working. I've been fortunate enough to spend a lot of time on the road as well. 2 years ago, I spent six months travelling overland from London to Central Asia, ending in Almaty, and absolutely fell in love with this region. The best part was the countless friendly faces and warm hearts I met along the way - many through Couchsurfing. I improved my Russian, and shared many happy moments over lovingly prepared food.

Now that my living situation is a bit more stable, I'm looking forward to sharing my home with other like-minded travellers passing through 🌎

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked over 5000 km across Central Asia
solo hiked across the Fann Mountains in Tajikistan
lived out of my car for two months while camping/road tripping across the West Coast in the US
rode 50 miles in one day on horseback (it was a race)
scuba dove at night in Hawaii
Gotten (nearly) 3 degrees
