About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To continue to open my mind and love unconditionally.

ABOUT ME

I am a people person. I love meeting new people and sharing my life with my family and closest friends. Children have always had a special place in my heart and my hope/plan is to work with kids for the rest of my life. I also love cooking--so you can be sure that if I come for a visit, I would love to cook for you! I crochet and knit. I read and pretend that I do yoga more than I really do. I genuinely enjoy doing little things for others. I love coffee and am very easily entertained. I am extremely blessed with the friends and family that I have.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that everyone has a purpose, and that purpose is better lived out when done in community. I believe that we don't take enough time to appreciate the little things. I believe that nothing should be done in excess and that new experiences open the mind. I believe that God lives in everything. I believe that we invest too much of ourselves in things that don't matter. I strongly believe in the power of love. I believe that every situation can be seen as a negative or positive. I try to find the silver lining in everything. I very much believe in spiritual reality and am working on seeing more of that in my day to day life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I lived in Grand Rapids, I loved hosting as many people as possible--along with my other 7 housemates. It was such an enjoyable time and we had so many memorable experiences. However, since I moved back to Plymouth I can no longer host for the time being. My participation now involves going to visit new places and surfing myself :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My housemate Amber has hosted many people in our home/her last home and I have had amazing experiences with that-all positive. I have gotten to meet great people from all over the world including Korea, California, New Hampshire, Australia, Canada, and many more. We have had a unique experience each time...many late nights and new relationships have been formed.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
-I enjoy most anything..classical/acoustic/oldies/rock/bluegrass/anything that doesn't involve hardcore screaming and is not R&B.

Movies & Books
-I will read/watch anything you suggest to me as long as it's not extremely horrifying.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have seen thousands of people consciously encounter God at the same time....I've never felt as much love and joy in the universe as in that moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wish I knew sign language and how to play the harp.

I can teach you how to crochet, knit, play piano, how to cook, how to juggle, how to write bubble letters...among many other things.
