About Me

I am one half Singaporean, and I've been travelling to Singapore since I was three-years old to visit family. All my life, I've felt a connection with South East Asia and I'm itching to be able to go back and travel some more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have not Couchsurfed yet! I am looking forward to using it to meet locals and experience new countries in a more personable way.

Interests

One of my main passions is cooking. Baking mostly. I started a cooking blog a few months back and now I devote a lot of time to cooking, baking and taking pictures for that! For me, there's nothing more satisfying than cooking a nice homemade meal or dessert to share with friends.

As with most cooking/baking enthusiasts, I love to EAT as well. My ideal night out on the town would almost always involve trying a great new restaurant first. I abuse my Yelp account and have reviews of every restaurant I've been to in the past year.

Additionally, I love to exercise (as I should, with all the eating I do) and I'm always trying new classes and routines. Recently, I've been learning about weight lifting and running for distance. One of my latest favorite classes is Pure Barre, and I hope to try yoga soon.

Music, Movies, and Books

I, admittedly, have really shallow taste in movies. I enjoy rom coms with happy endings and basically nothing else.

Don't worry though, I am open to almost all music (I enjoy everything from Dave Matthews to the Xx to Amos Lee and Madonna)and I enjoy most books that I can find time to read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was certified to scuba dive a while back-- my first dives were in these beautiful reefs off the coast of Malaysia. Sadly, I live in Michigan and the Great Lakes aren't too interesting, but I plan on utilizing my scuba skills in the future! Also, I've climbed the Great Wall of China and been "surfing" in Bali (I took lessons :)).

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In
