About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world exchanging ideas and experiences while creating new interesting stories.
ABOUT ME
I am an independent, free thinking doer in the world. In the past I owned and operated my own live music venues, restaurants and bars and now I make films. My first feature length documentary on 60's garage rock is currently streaming on Amazon, Hulu, VHX and a few others. It's called Teen A Go Go... check it out and let me know what you think. I am currently developing a new humanitarian documentary based in Ecuador called Little Village, Big Mountain. My work and my hobby are intertwined and I feel fortunate for that.
I am working on being a world traveler of sorts... I have back packed a good portion of Europe. I have spent some time in a few countries south of the US and have been to 45 of the 50 states. I actually enjoy traveling solo as I find that I meet more interesting local people that way and I have plenty of amazing stories of random meetings that led to incredible unexpected experiences...
Check out my latest film's web site to learn even more about me and what I am about...

PHILOSOPHY
I believe everyone you meet has an interesting story in them if you will just take the time to get to know them. I also believe that every experience in life is an opportunity to learn and grow.
I think that strangers we encounter are sometimes the biggest teachers of all.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love couch surfing!! I have had some really great experiences both as a host and traveler! Several of the people I have met this way are now friends that I meet up with on travels and stay in contact with regularly. It's a great way to get introduced to a place you have never been to before. I love showing people around the area I live and taking them to places the tourists web site don't even talk about.
Interests
Music, film, hiking, biking, scuba, snorkeling... Beaches... Mountains... The great outdoors!
Good ethnic food, great conversation and a nice glass of wine in a comfortable setting with an interesting group of people to converse with... maybe with a great view or maybe with a great band... or both?

Music, Movies, and Books
Film - I work in the biz, so I am a lover of the moving image. However, I lean toward pop culture documentaries and stories based on true events.
Music - Having worked in that business for about 15 years, I have seen, heard, enjoyed and been tortured a few times by thousands of bands of all types of music and so my musical tastes are vast. Genres I am partial to are garage rock from any era that's good, singer song writer and roots rock.
Books - I don't read as much I would like as I read a lot of scripts. However, I can recommend a great Basque book called Obabakoak. There are only about 13 translated Basque books out there and this is one of the best books I have ever read Basque or not.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am fortunate in that I feel I have done many amazing things... Recently I would say participating in a 10 day totally silent meditation course (Vipassana)... was one of the hardest things I have done but also profound... if we meet up, I'll tell you about it if you wish!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a sponge for knowledge and learning how things are done. And I am always willing to share my knowledge and experiences with anyone who will listen.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great conversation, Southwestern-mediteranean cooking and a lust for adventure!
Countries I’ve Visited
Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Switzerland
