I'm looking for a couch

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the summer of 2010 I couched surfed across the country during a 2 month road trip with my friends Morgan and Liz. We surfed in California, Vancouver, Seattle, California, New Mexico, and Alabama. Everyone we met was kind and wonderful. I really enjoyed getting to the know my couch surfing hosts and being able to get local perspectives on the places we were visiting.

Enjoying life, feelingssss, learning new things, meeting people, challenging myself, straight chillin, music music music did I mention music?, traveling, climbing trees, swimming in the ocean, hiking, not making plans or checking the time, playing the banjo and the flute, talking in funny voices, singing, cooking and baking healthy food and yummy concoctions and then eating them with my hands, gettin dirty, playing, making up spontaneous wacky stories, thinking up delicious ideas, painting and drawing, absurdity and vulgarity, conquering fear, witnessing the beauty and perfection of all things

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In Hawaii some friends and I walked out to where the lava spurts out of the ground at night. It was pitch black and we had to use flashlights. We paired off and held hands and walked slowly over the cracked black rocks, sharp as glass. As we got closer the cracks got wider, the rocks sat at steeper angles. The ground was also getting progressively hotter, the kind of heat that only comes from lava. Finally we arrived- the red magma was dripping out of the ground and oozing slowly. Then it suddenly started raining and clouds of sulfuric acid smoke were rising up all around us. We had to get up and walk away quickly. The rain left as quickly as it came and we went back and watched the flow again.

I can teach art, creative writing skills, flute and basic clawhammer banjo, I might be able to teach you how to do a handstand (and other gymnastics skills) depending on your physical prowess

I'd like to learn how to sing better, get better at the banjo, learn more about music and songwriting, how to carve stone sculptures, do wood whittling and ceramics, learn to sew and make stuffed animals. I'd like to learn how to build a house, how to live more sustainably and mindfully, and more about farming and gardening
