ABOUT ME
I am Australian born, my partner Ronan is Irish, living in Australia now since 2009. We met in early 2015 when our mutual interest in yoga brought Ronan into the retail store I worked at to purchase a yoga mat! He left with the mat, and my phone number.
We both love adventure and a challenge, experiencing new countries and cultures and staying as close as possible to the "real thing" as apposed to the tourist trail...
Together we have been to Germany, Denmark, Ireland and the Philippines but have each had many adventures in other countries prior to meeting.
I am currently a student of Nutritional Medicine and my hobbies include yoga, team sports, CrossFit, hiking, camping, swimming, cooking, singing and playing the ukulele. Ronan is a high school and Yoga teacher. He has a keen interest in positive psychology and overall wellbeing. He plays guitar, loves to speak Spanish and shares my interests of hiking, camping, sports and fitness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has come to our rescue on a few occasions and both Ronan and I have discovered it’s a great way to meet people and have an authentic experience with the locality. Now it’s time to open up our home to others! A good way to feel like backpackers between adventures of our own!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a good ballad! Something that fills your lungs in a good car sing-a-long!!
My favourite books is The Glass Castle by Jennette Walls and all time favourite movie has to be Legends of the Fall with Brad Pitt.
Ronan likes Indie, house and acoustic, favourite band is the Arctic Monkeys!
Books, he likes anything by Cormack McCarthy and films he prefers independent and foreign films as suppose to block busters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the opportunity to live with a maasai family in rural kenya, teaching at the local school and I attended a wedding in the community. It was an amazing experience I saw, did, and ATE some things I will never forget!!
Ronan hiked an ice capped volcano in Pucan, Chile. It was an intense hike in adverse conditions!
