ABOUT ME

I think I am a pretty simple person. I try to be the best version of myself that I can be. I am vegetarian and have a pretty simple diet, but sometimes I eat too many sweets. I study Latin and Ancient Greek as well as some Old English. I love history, especially the Classical and Medieval periods. I work with horses at the moment but love all animals. I'm shy but once you get to know me I am quite talkative. I love languages and think linguistics is fascinating.

Interests

I like the outdoors and really enjoy hiking and biking. But I also like to take long walks as I feel it clears my mind.

I love reading, I mostly read nonfiction books about Greek and Roman History and topics on the Middle Ages. I also love fantasy books such as Game of Thrones

I really like to bake sweet things like pastries, cakes, and pies. I also like to sew clothes and cross-stitch as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to any kind of music, I think it is nice to have an open mind about it as it is an art form. I played piano for a number of years and so I also enjoy classical music.

I read a lot of books. Too many to list here. I mostly read non-fiction now as I am a History student and read a lot of scholarly books. But some of my favorite novels are Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pride and Prejudice, The Commoner, To Kill a Mockingbird, and any book by David Sedaris.
Some of the tasteful books I enjoy are: the Arthurian Legends, King Alfred, the Prose Edda, Ovid, Silence, Beowulf, The Illiad.

This last semester I read all of Antigone in the original Ancient Greek.
I'm currently working on translating Caesar's Commentaries as well!
