About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To spend my remaining five days in Europe well!

ABOUT ME

it is hard to say.

PHILOSOPHY

I am trying to figure that out at present. It is a constant creation, this life philosophy of mine. I live to find out what will come next. Maybe that is a philosophy in itself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Starting this past summer, I have couch surfed in Heidelberg, Munich, Palermo, Lisbon, Fez, and Madrid. I have only had positive experiences and hope that when I finally get a couch of my own and live in a city that travelers actually pass through (no one really stops in Albacete, Spain for the cultural sights...) that I will be able to begin my experience hosting people.

Interests

i am a curious person so i am interested in most everything- people, food, music, and traveling rank.

I love cooking and trying new places to eat. I love talking to people and learning from their perspectives. I can't seem to get enough of flying to different places around the globe.

I enjoy being active. Whether that is physically active-going for a run, doing some yoga, a funky kick boxing class- or mentally active- reading, writing, talking with new people, journaling.

Music, Movies, and Books

things that move me. I will admit that these tend to be mostly serious things. Although I do have a sense of humor that somehow straddles the sarcastic and silly. I don't like favorites because there are too many even competitors out there. I am bad at choosing:)

mellow music mostly, things that make you want to swoon or curl up by candlelight to. I am bad at classifying genres of music and am not the kind of person who knows album names or where the bands are from. I think I can normally tell within a few moments of a song if it is for me or not. Though my tastes definitely dip into many different genres than my normal indie/folk/alternative/rock. I often appreciate songs without words. I can do a bit of rap, country, musical, soundtrack, death metal, classical, blues, heavy metal, reggae, electronic, experimental, techno. Generally I try to stay away from R&B tho.

fictional books mostly, but recently I have gotten really into podcasts (WNYC Radiolab and This American Life are pretty sweet).

movies: here a few that come to mind off the top of my head: 8½, The Little Mermaid, The Thin Red Line, The Fountain, Finding Nemo, Pierrot le fou, American Beauty, Amalie, The Godfather, Apocolypse Now, Annie Hall, Brazil, Waking life, Cool Hand Luke, The Graduate , The Piano, Spirited Away...
