Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To defy the laws of nature by starting a vegetable garden in the fall.
ABOUT ME
Deborah is red-haired. Nick is kind of average. We both love meeting people from all over the world and forcing them to pretend to like our cooking.
PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy can best be encapsulated by a list of impressive words juxtaposed with soft-focus photos of people doing extreme sports at sunset. Protestant-work-ethic terms are good for this purpose ("Elbow Grease", "Sticktoitivness") as is new age jingo ("Wonder", "Spirit", "Eternal Earth-Mother")

Music, Movies, and Books
Deborah likes to read incomprehensible German books about societal trauma and the crushing weight of the past. Nick likes New Yorker cartoons.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We spent eight days hiking across an Arctic river valley in Nunavut, Canada. We were very nervous about being killed by polar bears, but the Parks Canada staff told us not to worry: we were statistically much more likely to die fording one of the valley's many fast-flowing glacial streams.
