PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is:

-Always see the best in people but worst in life. Because it is more probable for life to disappoint you.

-If you dont include art or music or literature or poetry or movies or sculpture in your life- well, you're not living at all.

-Just because life is messed up does not mean that we have to get messed up too.

-No we don't ride in camels and wear veils in Turkey.

Centres d'intérêt

I'm interested in
-people with good stories who love to have a warm conversation

-music- all types but basically rock.

-movies- i hate those cliched American Action movies; so please dont come to my flat with your Bruce Lee or Steven Seagal DVD.

-all types of art: i love art- from Monet to Picasso. My favourite artists are Dali and Gaugein though. I also love Mozart and Schubert.I also like Warhol and Rodin- check Musee d'Orsay in Paris.

-I am really interested in the social condition of the world. Discussions about income inequality, education, hunger and poverty are always welcomed with a huge smile and lots of things to say.

-Literature- I read a lot...I mean..A LOT. I read at classes, in the tram, even sometimes when I go abroad and there are so many things to see.

-Guitars- I play to the guitar and admire Gibson.

ABOUT COUCHSURFING:
I admire Couchsurfing, and if available, I am always willing to host surfers- or maybe have a drink with them to share tips about Am'dam. However, I quite dislike COPY-PASTE requests; it seems as the people are just looking for a place to crash rather than making some new friends with new experiences. So keep in mind that

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music: I used to be a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan -have a discography of 5 gbs- but since they are going through midlife crisis, I changed my position a little bit.
Right now I'm listening to the Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon and the Killers. I also like Alice in Chains, Tool and Pink Floyd and if you approach me with the words Iron Maiden, I will bend down on my knees and start to worship you.

Books: Kafka is my God. Kerouac is my best friend to go cruising on the road. Solzhenitsyn can be the perfect welcoming father and my mother is...well...Sylvia Plath.

Movies: I watched the Dark Knight three times- and i still want to watch it. I also like movies of Todd Solondz and David Fincher- and have a good collection of movies. So if you get bored of the trance-y Am'dam scene, you're always welcomed for a cozy night of films.

I write occasionally so I can share a few tips about creative writing.
I can teach you how to play guitar
and I can teach some basic Turkish.
