ABOUT ME

West Coast girl at heart, transplanted to New York City to teach crazies for four years, and now switching up my lifestyle completely by living in Costa Rica.

I usually do pretty poorly in games where I am asked to describe myself, but this is the list what I have recently come up with:
*Teacher
*Lifelong learner
*Sarcastic
*Hard-working
*Intelligent
*Vagabond
*Coffee lover
*Irish/Norwegian
*Karaoke master
*Can drink most people under the table
*Slightly insane, mostly fun

PHILOSOPHY

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars." I have that quote from Oscar Wilde tattooed on my forearm. I do my best to look up at the sky as much as possible, especially when I feel like I'm down.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have gone to events in NYC and hosted a bunch of people as they traveled through. I hope to continue to participate by surfing my way through Central America and meeting new people in my new country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through the official CS website, I have let a few wonderful ladies and gentlemen stay in my office for a day or two. I have gone out to bars, hosted dinners, or gone sightseeing with some of them as well.

Before the website, I have really been hosting all kinds of people in various places I have lived- mostly friends of friends, people passing through. I love being able to help someone out who is in a bind, and always have a lot of fun traveling through my own city with the eyes of a tourist.

There is nothing more beautiful than Gasworks Park in Seattle on a clear day. Where else in the world can you see that much water, mountains, and beautiful city views in one place?
