Hello! My name is Mel, and I'm from a lovely beachside city in Los Angeles, California. I just finished studying engineering abroad in Reykjavik, Iceland and am seeking adventure by couchsurfing Europe for two months! I'm very easy going and enjoy doing outdoorsy activities such as hiking, bouldering, swimming, lounging, beaching, you name it. Fun fact: I can recite almost every line to any given episode of Rick and Morty :))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love connecting with locals and sharing my experiences with others! This is my first time backpacking Europe and would love to make friends in different countries. Likewise, if you ever find yourself in California, I'd be more than happy to open up my home to any friends I meet along the way.

I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara, but I have interests in aerospace and everything involving planes. Since my academic course load is so rigorous, I don't have much time to learn about the arts and history so I'd like to learn more about the world through the perspectives of others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will be more than happy to cook/clean/house-sit/pet-sit/be an adventure buddy to any host that would be willing to accept me. I'm very fortunate to anyone willing to allow me to stay in his/her home.
