Overview
About Me
I've been a student in Paris for 4 years now (mostly literature and film, but also some history, philosophy, English literature, etc.), and I want to find work in the movies. I'm currently interning in a film production company. I love reading, watching movies of course, and traveling. I spent some time in the United States as an exchange student in a host family a few years ago and it was one of the best experiences in my life - which is why I'm trying to renew the experience as much as I can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm interested in traveling, and in meeting with "local" people while doing so because I think it might be the best way to get know a city or a country.
I'm also interested in welcoming travelers in my home in Paris. I think I'd like to host people with shared interest, so I can show you around and give you tips to the best of my abilities (old movie theaters, cool bookstores, etc.).
Interests
I like reading and cinema but also writing, and debating about everything. I love spending time at the café with either a book, a notebook or a friend. I'm especially good at not finishing the books I start and at talking about stuff I haven't read or seen.
I used to do a lot of music as a child and a teen but I quit when I moved to Paris, and miss it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jazz and funk, old school rock music, groovy tunes and melancholy melodies. Indie stuff. Various things. Novels mostly but also essays, a little bit of poetry. Paul Auster, Russel Banks, Milan Kundera, Marguerite Duras, Sylvia Plath, ... American movies, especially from the 70s, thrillers, especially psychological ones, dark comedies, and many directors (Wim Wenders, RW. Fassbinder, Bruno Dumont, Sergio Leone...)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'd love to get to know my hosts and the people I welcome, and to have them tell me about where and how they live, and about their favourite places or things to do. Depending on schedules we can share meals or tea / coffee / beer / etc. and hang out eventually. Although I might be busy in Paris, I'll do my best to get to know you.
