About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to travel. Make good connections. Collaborate ideas. Absorb diverse cultural expressions. Explore and learn. But to sum it up, do what I love, uncompromisingly, with passion and compassion :)
ABOUT ME
It's like an autobiography or some shit. I swear I'm not as pretentious as I read. ;)
I live to love, love to live, with passion and compassion. I am a sensory-indulgent, world thirsty sponge open to the adventures life can offer me, exploring new experiences that might stimulate the body, mind and soul. It can be visually pleasing aesthetics, scrumptious foods, delectable smells, eargasmic sounds, mindblowing ideas, stimulating textures, etc. A bit of an epicurean methinks?
Whatever the case, I build my world with my bare hands and my heart open, unapologetically .
What else to say...I always seem to put too much or too little information? Whatever. Here's some random 411 ka ka. Pick out whatever smelliness you want.
I'm an artist in the soul, anthropologist at heart, and scientist in the mind.
I like to draw. I draw on walls. On canvases. On napkins. On skin. Underneath desks. On drunken faces. Not too bad at it either.
I can drone on about philosophical nothings for hours on end. I just..think too damn much. But then sometimes I think I don't think enough. Which makes me think about how much I am really thinking..
Habitually self-indulgent. And I love it.
My humor is goofy and a bit self-deprecating.
Verbally, I stumble over my words. But I can write you some poetry, if you'd like?
I like scrumptious foods in little portions, love in large quantities.
A bit of a entrepreneur. Always creating and designing and planning and incorporating my avocations into my vocations. But sometimes it sucks when my mind spins away at light speed and I have no built in organizer so it ultimately crashes and I have to start over. But I'm learning to slow down.
The amount of curiosity I have for all the things the world has to offer is probably enough to kill plenty of kittycats. Sorry, bad imagery, I love felines.
An avid daydreamer with my tippy toes still on the ground for practicality's sake.
A bit of a pessimist, with an optimistic will.
Ambitious and determined to be successful, though my definition of success might not have the same meaning to society as it would to my own self.
I remember every person I've ever met in my life, as every life I encounter plays a role in influencing who I am. So yes, you are special, like yo mama told ya.
I like to thoroughly enjoy my experiences, not worry about my performances.
I love traveling. Seeing the world. Immersing myself in different cultures, examining the interrelations among them, and taking a bit of knowledge and wisdom back with me each time I return.
I choose to work myself to death in things that I have great love and passion for, and would never compromise that for more money or for a life of lazy leisure.
Making music on my piano elevates me spiritually. Just allowing my fingers to flow and my heart and spirit soar.
I live by the code of living and loving in passion, with compassion.
The people in my life come in quality, not quantity.
Want to know anything else? Talk to me. :)
PHILOSOPHY
Life is your canvas, and you are the artist; don't be painting by numbers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosted some, surfed some, but still a newbie. Like everyone else - looking for new experiences, especially if it involves good vibes, good food, and good peeps.
Interests
Everything! I am blessed/cursed to have an insatiable curiosity and passion in different disciplines. But, on the top of my head: Gastronomy, wanderlust, urban exploration, sensual explorations, stimulating conversations, coffee & ciggs, multiculturalism, high brow and low brow art, treasure hunting, fresh kicks, cultural relativism, authenticity, DIY, studying world religions, traditions, and cultures, holistic therapies, existentialism, finding inspiration...etc etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Can't list them all, but here's a "few" to get an idea.

Music: I love a broad range of quality music: K-OS, Quadron, Zion I, SBTRKT, Fleet Foxes, Esthero, Elysian Fields, Beck, Mando Dio, Debussy, Trentemoller, Body Language, RJD2, Tricky, Ella Fitzgerald, Jamie Lidell, Aesop Rock, Prince, S-Tone Inc., RATM, Aceyalone, Black Keys, Bahamadia, Peaches, The Vines, The Pixies, Chromeo, Massive Attack, Feist, Digable Planets, Washed Out, Little Dragon, Lovage, The Doors, Maxwell, Telepopmusik, Emiliana Torrini, Goldfrapp, Vast
Books: Gothic thrillers, metaphysical science, fairy tales, spiritual matters, erotica, mystical realism, non-fiction books on things I love (food, low-brow art, the science of seemingly non-scientifical, mystical things, the similarities and interrelations among people and cultures, etc.), how-to books, etc. Among my favorites: The Vampire Chronicles and Witching Hour Series by Anne Rice. Oh, and I'm currently engrossed in The Laughing Jesus.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ziplining in the lush bamboo forest in Jamaica.
Staying at a hostel in Toronto, meeting open, loving people from at least 20 different cultures, eager to share stories and connect with fellow travelers.
Having the best lavender ice cream ever in Japan, in a lavender field. The sky was amazingly clear that day.
Playing volleyball with the locals in Indonesia, and eating plates of fresh grilled seafood overlooking the sunset, candles lit. Then having a mountain of mango & sweet rice on top of a volcano.
Swimming in the warm waters of the ocean and climbing rock formations in the south of Taiwan, then picking bamboo shoots to eat for dinner. Nightmarkets - smells, sight, sound - are always vibrant in the north of Taiwan.
Being on the highest point on the Wall of China. Liberation.
Etc. etc. All experiences leave me awestruck. On a mission to keep collecting experiences while traveling :) There's way too many places left unseen - travelers assure that every part of the earth is appreciated.
