ABOUT ME

We are Melody (from Zimbabwe) and Dev (from England), we're creative, curious and open to the coincidences in life. Love music, love meeting people, love jamming, dancing, red wine and eating tasty wholesome food with friends.

We've been on the road for almost two years now, slowly wandering our way through the world and seeing where the wind takes us..
We try not to plan too much, go with the flow and live in the moment! We're interested in communities, how people can live together and support one another in peaceful and sustainable ways.

Melody -
I love to draw, observe the world and be inspired by everything even the smallest details- a leaf, a feather, have such infinite beauty and perfection. Nature is my biggest inspiration, it nourishes, teaches and never ceases to amaze me.
The more I see the more blown away I am by the beauty of the world..
I love stories, writing and illustrating children's books, and collecting folk tales from around the world. Singing, music, writing, making things, I believe that creativity can be expressed in so many ways, and I don't like labels. I am this, and I am that, I'm just me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although we've surfed loads of couches, we've only just officially joined Couch Surfing after hearing loads of good stuff from other travellers.

We love meeting new people wherever we go as well as getting involved in local communities, and can't wait to open our home to other travellers once we're settled.

Interests

Dev - Musician, pretty varied but mainly spanish classical guitar. I love Roots Rock Reggae, sounds that have a conscious message and vibe, Jamming and connecting with other musicians. Tai Chi, Vipassana, meditation, shiatsu, travelling to spiritual places like hilltop temples and shrines, mountains and lakes.

Melody - Drawing, painting, print-making, photography, CHOCOLATE, stories and folk tales, singing, learning to play guitar, exploring, rainbows, apple crumble, nature, sunsets/sunrises, people, clouds, and loads of other stuff!

It feels like one of the main reasons that we're travelling is to learn from every person and every experience, and then hopefully pass on the knowledge and create a better world together.

On a practical level there's loads of stuff we'd love to learn more about- Sustainable living, permaculture, singing, yoga, songwriting, dumpster diving, community development, great recipes, salsa dancing, spanish..
