About Me
My husband, Eddie https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/eddie.mckee.520 and I are currently taking a break from our jobs and traveling around Asia and Africa for 10 months (June 2018- April 2019). So excited for all the amazing people, animals, nature, and cultures to explore!
I guess I'd consider myself a pretty laid back, fun-loving girl. I rarely find myself saying "no" to any new adventure. I am a big biology/geology nerd. Big heights junkie. Love a good beer. Often I find myself dressed up in some ridiculous costume. I am happiest in nature. I enjoy feeling uncomfortable and pushing myself to try new things. I don't take myself too seriously and I make fun of everything.
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." -Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Over the years I had the pleasure of meeting awesome people at local CS events and have been hosted and met up with some wonderful people all over the world! Whenever I have traveled alone and used Couchsurfing- I never felt "alone" once. CS had been amazing and I have enjoyed more rich, authentic, and fun travel experiences because of it.
Interests
I enjoy hiking, kayaking, climbing, yoga, running, & camping. I love being outdoors and any chance to jump off a cliff or bridge into water. Photography melts my heart. I also love trying out new foods and cooking new recipes- especially food from other cultures. I enjoy reading about social research, science, and the stories and dynamics of immigrants. I am nearly obsessed with Ted.com lectures. I love going on new adventures- sketchier the better. Some of my favorite times have been on a long hike or scenic locale with a cold beer.
