About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Become a better musician, get back to my art, create/find community in Portland.
ABOUT ME
I recently moved Portland after falling in love with a band from here. I then joined the band as a drummer and now going to school for music.
old:
I love to dance. I love the sunshine. I love to dance in the sunshine.
I love and live to celebrate how wonderful it is to be alive and try to share my enthusiam for life where ever I go.
Some say I'm eccentric- I have a million interests and it's hard to know where to begin.
Sometimes obsessed with numismatics, ancient poets, new acting techniques, etc.
I'm never happier than when I'm having an adventure somewhere outside of where I live and meeting people along the way.
PHILOSOPHY
From too much love of living,
From hope and fear set free,
We thank with brief thanksgiving
Whatever gods may be-
That no life lives forever;
That dead men rise up never;
That even the weariest river
Winds somewhere safe to sea.
...leap and the net will follow
"My principle is life, my end is death. I wish to live my life intensely for to embrace it tragically"- Renzo Novatore
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I open my home to travelers when I have one and couchsurf when I can. I have also used the CS rideshare boards in Mexico and talk about CS with almost everyone I know.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Spent a night in NYC with two cool women a few years ago while volunteering at a film festival. They soon told me all about their adventures and experiences with this site, which was how the two of them became friends. I traveled throughout Mexico via CS, Seattle, LA and San Diego more recently. A night with Yale students in New Haven, CT who used to live in the artist collective I moved to in Brooklyn.
Interests
Playing bass, drums, and anything I can find, cuttlebone casting, sound/music, astronomy, alchemy, mysticism, riding motorcycles, traveling, spelunking, learning new languages.

Music, Movies, and Books
Foreign, independent, and avant garde films right now.
I love all kinds of music, especially that of weird, exotic, lesser known bands.
Ok, I lied. Right now I'm listening to Hiatus Kaiyote. I think she's big....somewhere.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitch hiked to NJ from Denver and ended up in a castle in upstate NY before I made my way South. We delivered a 1968 Velorex to the man in the castle and had breakfast with his family. He started building his castle in 1969 when he came back from the Vietnam War at 19 and was still adding more on. I played hide and go seek for hours with his grandchildren in the castle towers and behind his miscellaneous antiques and Halloween decorations. Before I left, they asked me to stay forever.
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach Japanese and little German for starters.
Yoga, meditation, Final Cut Pro, ProTools, anything Mac/Apple related, coaching, fire dancing (poi).
Want to learn how to do my own motorcycle repairs and get more comfortable riding.
Want more surfing experience.
I'd love to be a better drummer, new on bass guitar now.
Aerial/circus arts/dance.
