ABOUT ME

I'm a Christian and a teacher. Being a Christian is the most important part of me. I don't push it on other people. If someone wants to learn, they'll ask. However, out of respect for me, I don't want to hear my Father's name ill used, especially in my own home.

I teach in juvenile detention and in homebound settings. I love it! I teach everything from 2nd grade to 12th grade. We have to get tutors for some foreign languages and calculus! (Calculus is a foreign language!) My kids teach me more than I could ever teach them.

PHILOSOPHY

I am curious. I love to get to know new people. I enjoy laughter (as long as it's not at the cost of someone's happiness).

People who just naturally want to share and thus participate in something like this are the best people. They make they trip. At it's best, this is so much more than just a place to land.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crying, alone, with a broken down car, walking down a mountain animal trail north of Azusa, CA, a wolf nuzzled my right palm. Neither of us were afraid. It was awesome.

I know how to crochet. I'm a decent cook. I'm sure there are other things I can't think of that aren't related to academics!
