ABOUT ME

Im in China because I want to be. I want to learn the Chinese language and culture. I love teaching English too. Language keeps me entertained all day. Learning it, trying it, practicing it, teaching it, correcting it, talking about it, laughing about it, crying about it, writing about it, dreaming about it.

PHILOSOPHY

This is your life. Do what you love. If you don't like something, change it. If you don't like your job, quit. Travelling is the best way to spend your time and money. If something baffles your mind, it is good for you. If something is different, embrace it. Spend more time with people who disagree with you. There are no ordinary moments. Every day is a special occasion.

I just came back from surfing on a couch thinking why didn't I sign up to this sooner? Got a party penthouse of an apartment and think the world should be enjoying it with me.

Met a few writers which was inspiring as that is what I want to do.

I delight in mornings; a fresh pot of green tea; the Chinese language; books that make me stop, underline, and make notes in; walks that take much longer than anticipated; chats that thoroughly explore a wide range of completely unrelated topics; food that brings the best out in everyone; students that ask questions; and people of different cultures who bring everyone together.

I have flown over the Victoria Falls in a MicroLight. Breathtaking.
I heard Jung Chang speak about her books and got her to sign my copy of Wild Swans.
I watched my nephew learn to walk.
I made my own yoghurt!
