My name is Melyn, an Indonesian girl that born in 1991.
I am a really open minded person. I don't judge people because I don't like being judged either. Everybody have their own problem(s) and their decision(s).

Kids, books, stories, movies, travelling and colors are things that i love. Moreover, I really like to smile. I dance sometimes and humming most of the time. I can't draw but I enjoy it. My drawings are horrible but who cares? ;p

My friends always saying nomaden is my middle name as I move around alot since I was little. I love to make friend with new people, learn abt new culture, and exchange a nice warm smile with stranger or even have a little talk wth them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First time i used couchsurfing to travel around Finland, Estonia and Sweden. It's really amazing how stranger from other part of the world wth completely different culture and life could be connected and make friend. Now i get back to my country i ready to host people :).

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: About Time, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, Flipped, The Pretty One, What If, Crazy Stupid Love, etc. I basically watch everything, from drama to action, romantic comedy to sci-fi, from hollywood to bollywood, even some anime and korean drama/variety shows but absolutely No to horror movie, cause I'm a scaredy cat.

Music: It's hard to choose one, I like taylor swift. Beat and acoustic. Just listening to anything good and feel right in my ear.

Books: There are too much to mention but I could say The Famous Five series by Enid Blyton and Miiko comic by Ono Eriko is my forever and ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

#Travel all the way to Belgium wth a group of 22 to join folk dance festival in Oostrozebeke.
#9 days trip on Sumatera Island, (Lampung, Palembang, Muara Enim, Bengkulu, Padang, Solok, Bukit Tinggi, Samosir Island, Medan) with public transportation in Ramadhan time (means we were fasting at that time.
#Hike Merapi Mountain (2,930 m)
#Survived 7 months of winter in Finland.

But more than anything, being born and still alive. That's amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've lived in so many cities in Indonesia, and also love travelling around my country so If you want to know any travelling tips in Indonesia from the local, I'm definitely yours.
I was also learning and teaching some Indonesian traditional dance and instruments, so if you have interest in another culture, it's a good thing to share.
