About Me

Hello! I'm a runner, singer, travel enthusiast, and vegan.
I love the beach, the bush and the sunshine, almost as much as I love my cat (almost)
I grew up in Sydney but now live in Wollongong, where it's much more laid back and much less traffic!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met some incredible people when I was couchsurfing in Scotland, and I'd love to show people around my local area.

Interests

Running
Nature walking
Books
Singing/songwriting
Healthy eating (unless it's hot chips. There's always that exception)
Discovering new places of beauty

I love finding new places, especially those which aren't the popular tourist spots. Magic happens there!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music....everything except death metal! Big fan of 80s rock, but will sing along to Adele, all the ballads (from any era 60s onwards) and anything which goes well at karaoke.
Movies...if you ask me if I've seen it, I probably haven't. I haven't even seen ET. I know, I missed out.
I do enjoy period dramas, chic flicks and historical fiction.
Which brings me to books...
Big fan of Diana Gabaldon, Margaret Atwood and have just discovered the 44 Scotland Street series, which was much easier reading and I may have gone to bed late in order to finish the book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 21 I went to Israel to volunteer in the ambulance service for 6 months. At the time it was just something cool to do, it was only in hindsight I realised how awesome all the volunteers were, from all walks of life.
And I learned how to bandage people pretty well too.
At 33 I quit my full time job and moved to Scotland for a few months. It was liberating to leave the clutches of "security" and follow my dream.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a doula (birth attendant) and nutritionist, so any birth related stuff, or health related stuff - feel free to pick my brains :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to cook a meal or several, and always up for company when exploring.
