ABOUT ME

I am a pretty shy sort of person. Which is a pity because I am passionately interested in other people - what it is like to be them, what it is like know and feel the things that they know and feel. In company, I am happiest either passing comfortable trivialities while doing something else - cooking, running, gardening - or locked in the most furious (but amiable)argument. So, in summary, I like to listen, argue, and mindlessly mouth off.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driving through the Moroccan High Atlas at 16, listening to my brand new walkman: to this day, Rage Against the Machine brings a tear to my eye for the senslessly extravagant beauty of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do not have much to share - a few dishes I make really well (dhal with coriander seeds, Chakokbili).
I would like to learn to do all sorts of things, but especially what I am most terrible at: the sort of routine handy work which it is expected that all men will be good at.
