I DON'T LIVE IN SWEDEN ANYMORE. I HAVE TRIED TO CHANGE MY LOCATION A HUNDRED TIMES BUT THE SYSTEM REFUSES TO DO IT.

I’m a happy, open-minded and adventurous traveller. I’m interested in politics, changing the world, becoming a better person, different cultures and languages, learning, traveling (by hitch-hiking and couch-surfing), dancing, out-dooring (hiking, biking), cooking (vegetaring food), non-consumerism, sharing, activism and much much more! I’ve recently moved back to Finland after many years abroad in countries like Sweden, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia and Italy.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I've been an active member of Hospitality club for many years now and absolutely love it! I rely on Couchsurfing in my numerous trips across Western and Eastern Europe because it is in harmony with my lifestyle and values. I love hosting people too but at the moment I share a flat with five other people and a room with a wonderful room-mate whom I have to consult before I can take any guests.

Algo increíble que he hecho

One of the greatest achievements is conducting a field study about women’s empowerment in Georgia in Southern Caucasus in the summer of 2013. I travelled around the countryside of Samegrelo region ALONE to mobilize local women to take action in their rural communities. I returned to the nine villages to lead a workshop in Russian for eighty women assisted by my local friend and to interview the women. Daily challenges were extreme heat (nausea, headache), public transportation and pushy local men. Since I’m a climate activist and try to avoid flying, I made the two roundtrips from Sweden to Georgia by train, bus and hitch-hiking through Turkey, the Balkans and Eastern Europe. These trips took five days one way but provided plenty of time to reflect:)

I would love to teach English, Swedish and Russian to anyone who is interested. I can also share experiences about climate-friendly traveling and life-style. I want to learn more about the different cultures, languages, every-day life in different countries, politics and much more.

I've been active in different non-govermental organizations almost all my life and could share my experiences on how to mobilize and coordinate volunteers, look for partners, organize events, capacity-building, fund-raising, networking and much more.
