About Me

Hi there! My name is Guillermo, I'm 28 and I've been living in Zapopan, Jalisco for 2 years now. I'm a very honest, easygoing, respectfull, tidy and responsible guy. I like being useful and I'm always eager to help. I'm from another city called Tampico so I know how it is to be far from home and your loved ones and how good it feels when you find someone to help you in a place you don't know. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Love to host and meet foreign people, their culture and if I know the language, practicing it with them. Guadalajara is a city that has so much to offer and if I can show you or guide you in your trip, that would be great.

Interests

I like movies, tv series, all kinds of food and going out to knew places. I like to know fun facts, background & history or even the mysteries that a city can offer. I'm not that into clubs or nightlife but I do know where to go at night or what to do after the sun goes down that doesn't involve clubs. But hey, if you like clubs, we can go to one, I'm always open to new adventures. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm so into EDM right now. I totally love Above&Beyond's music; they're amazing! I love downtempo, chill-out and relax music also, oit helps me focus or get a good night sleep.

I love "The Hours" but love different genres: drama, sci-fi, epic movies, psychological thrillers, mysteries and of course, comedies & animated movies!

I should read more, I know it! But some of the books I've really liked are Veronika decides to Die & Brida from Paulo Coelho, also Fahrenheit 451 from Ray Bradbury.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moving to Guadalajara! I came for a job offer, they were going to test my skills for 3 months and everything has been amazing. I've been working with great people for a little over 2 years now. Coming to a new city, with no family or friends was a challenge but I did not doubt. When I look to the past, I smile for the decisions I made because they've made me grow and meet wonderful people in this great city.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my sacred knowledge of good local places to have a good meal, haha. Also, I can show you around the city and the malls that Guadalajara has to offer. If you have any interests in particular, you can share them in advance, I can do a little research and go to a place that fits them!
