About Me

Daily I run an educational-reenactment company, working for museums and cultural centres and occassionaly writing articles dealing with history and culture. After hours I also sometimes guide people in my hometown.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Barely two centuries ago it was common to host strangers all along the Europe, until modernization came. So CS in fact just reinvents very old idea, and (despite all tendencies ) I still prefer to view the project in this way.

SURFING
Three rules:
1.I cannot offer the couch this year. I hope in near future I will. However, if you ask we can meet and I can guide you through the town or we can grab some beer together and talk about anything.
2.I usually don't respond to copy/past requests nor write them, unless they are made in emergency.
3. Also, if you accidently are one of those iphone zombies please note I will not run with you half of the town after damn virtual hamster.

Interests

Flaneuring- I like to wander in different cities just to feel the climate of the place. Prefer slow travelling, local stories and peculiarities.

Apart from this good literature, listening to music, walking mountains, vising cathedrals, boxing or fencing are also worthy things to do.

Music, Movies, and Books

Let's just say I am not the fan of Transformers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ate an unwashed apple once.

Teach, Learn, Share

Lessons of polish.
I was learning learning to play on duduk couple years ago, with pathetic results so far- maybe somebody will give some tips?
And I can cook. A little.
And if you one of those numerous persons that are totaly sunked in Early Byzantine military literature, you read it all the time, laugh with it, cannot eat or sleep because thinking about it...you won't regret the meeting. Really.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It depends- everybody knows better what is CS for him.

As the poet said:
"They are drinking to courage,
To each others’ respect
For the rites of host and guest,
To comradeship, brotherhood, sisterhood."
Vaja Pshavela, "Guest and Host"

Countries I’ve Visited

Countries I’ve Lived In
