About Me
Hi!
It's hard to write about oneself!
I'm an open-minded and really easy going person, eager to discover and learn things, be it how to lace baskets, the local history of the regions I pass by, funny things about languages, how to stand on a slackline, geopolitics, how does your tumble dryer work... as a result, I know a bunch of random stuff and can be enthusiastic about a lot of various activities.
Above that, I deeply value the chances I have to share and create bonds with people around me. I think that sharing, friendship, and building things locally together is the main key to (that's getting pompous ! ;) ) 'making the world for the better'. That's great, because it's also really fun to do!
How do I usually spend my time? You can find me out in the nature rock climbing, in my couch reading a book, helping friends with random projects such as making a movie or building a chair with recovered wood, helping people around me like teaching french to refugees in a squat or trying to solve student housing problems in my university, browsing on the web from random links to random links, exploring Paris by night, spending an afternoon in a museum...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I know how I don't want to travel: from a metropolis to another metropolis, staying at the same hotel brands, eating at the same fast-food/coffee global brands...
To me, couchsurfing, like how I travel by hitchhiking, corresponds much more to how I want to travel: it's a direct opportunity to meeting and connecting with nice, interesting, and sometimes non-conformist people.

Music, Movies, and Books
A random selection:
Books or Authors: Alain Damasio, Steinbeck, Erich Maria Remarque, Kafka, Tolkien, Harry Potter, Georges R.R. Martin, Camus, White Fang, Asimov, Phillip K. Dick, The Old Man and the Sea...
Movies or directors: Miyazaki, Tim Burton, Into the Wild, Isao Takahata, Tarantino, Moonrise Kingdom, Gladiator, The Matrix, 12 Angry Men, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Land and Freedom, Pan's Labyrinth, Blade Runner, Le premier jour du reste de ta vie, The Man from Earth, Y tu mama tambien...
Music: oddly enough, even though I enjoy listening a lot of different styles, and I'm often humming something, I never developped a habit of regularly listening to something. So, I'm open to any suggestion :).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ow, that really depends what you call amazing. If you are not a researcher, I would talk about academic stuff, if you are not a climber, I would talk about climbing stuff, if you are not an engineer, I would talk about building stuff, etc! ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach what I know: languages, science stuff, building stuff, daily life stuff, history stuff...
I can learn a lot of things :).
I can share a smile, a meal, a night long passionate discusion, a walk around, a weekend of mountainering, a movie watching, a game playing...
