I am an energetic and positive person. I am always on the go and am living life to the fullest. Although I have my fun side, I am also focused on finishing up my studies. I am passionate about traveling, learning languages (with a focus on French), meeting new people and enjoying a good conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to couchsurfing but have had so many friends who have had wonderful experiences all over the world. I love meeting new people and am looking forward to seeing what new adventures couchsurfing will bring!

Interests

When it comes to interests, I am very opened mind. I am almost always up for an adventure. I am a huge sports enthusiast with hockey, baseball and football being my top 3 pro sports to watch. I played competitive softball for over 14 years and enjoy playing all sports and pick-up games. I also have an arts-y side and love photography, painting, print-making and creating sculptures. If I had to pick between a sports event or an art gallery... it'd be a really tough decision!!

Traveling is a huge passion. Staying in one place for too long makes me antsy! I love discovering hidden gems in any city/town/village/country and photographing it for memory sake. I enjoy helping others discover new things as well.

Although I am not a musician, I appreciate and enjoy all types of music. Whether it be high energy electro house, techno, or slow and soulful, I will find something that I like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

3 different mountain ranges bring me feelings of peace, calm, serenity and beauty.

I have driven through the Rocky Mountains many times with friends and family. Each time, I try to take different route to discover a new park, waterfall or view. The mountains and the West coast make me feel just wonderful every time I'm out there.

In March 2010, I was able to take a trip to Morocco and drive from Marrakech, through the Atlas mountains, stopping about 10 km away from the Algerian boarder. And then back. I slept in the desert, road camels and had the time of my life. While driving through the mountains, I experienced the same feelings that I get while driving through the Rockies. Sitting atop a large sand dune gave me the same feeling, but with a twist. It was an amazing experience and just bliss!

My final favourite mountain top oasis would have to be in Santorini, Greece. I climbed up the highest mountain where you are able to have a 360 view of the island. The way the wind circulates around the island and this mountain top in particular makes you feel as if you're flying. The wind rushes up one side and back down the other. It is a feeling that I haven't been to recreate.
