About Me

CURRENT MISSIONS
- Writing my master's thesis about urban farming
- Bringing more nature to cities.
- Learning and talking about (sustainable) living in the 21th century.
- Becoming a better climber and kitesurfer.

GENERAL
I've been made in January 1991 and received the name Menno. I consider myself to be open-minded, laid-back and social. I want to create harmony in groups by trying to understand differing opinions and viewpoints.

I am trying to keep myself up-to-date with the potential solutions and changes in society that would utilize sustainable, exponential and decentralizing technologies to create a more equal and nature-balanced living environment.

KNOWLEDGE INTEREST
My focus within my studies is on bringing more nature to cities: urban green infrastructure. I enjoy to keep myself informed about the newest sustainable technological innovations in all sectors of society. Hence, I feel that my current study program, Sustainable Business & Innovation, is the place where all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place; learning about exciting innovations ánd the entrepreneurial activities needed to scale-up these initiatives to make an impact. I like try to give myself and others insight in the foreseeable future by following and studying novel trends.

FINALLY
Like most CouchSurfers, I like to travel; see the world, meet new people, opinions and cultures, inspire and become inspired, and just learn through new experiences and awestruck moments. Experiencing the Now is how I try to live my life.

PHILOSOPHY
We are all humans - treat people as you want to be treated.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I tell other people about CouchSurfing, and I have hosted some people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have some hosting experience, my surfing experience is yet to come.

Interests

I am interested in outdoor activities: climbing, bouldering, kitesurfing, snowboarding, longboarding, skating, mountain hiking, sailing, etc.

In contrast, I am also fascinated by technology and media. I find it fascinating how society rapidly evolves due to technological developments and socio-economic changes.

In addition, I am very font of multimedia. Watching youtube, series, movies and playing videogames is an enjoyable relaxing activity. I also consider myself creative as I have the skills and knowledge to shoot and edit videos, design and code websites, create graphic designs for logo's, posters, business cards, magazines, etc.
