About Me

CURRENT MISSION

the best is yet to come... but i can't wait!

ABOUT ME

hi couchsurfers! my name is vanina, i'm italian but i moved to Buenos Aires a couple of years ago, when in theory i just had to write my thesis and come back home, but finally i decided to stay. in my life, such changes use to happen all of a sudden (and quite often) as i'm completely unable to make plans! i am very curious and instinctive. besides travelling, i love contemporary arts (including literature, music, visual arts), learn languages and playing the bass guitar (i also love playing the guitar and sing, but music doesn't seem to love me as much as i do!). i'm a vegetarian but i'm used to hang out almost exclusively with carnivores and never say a word about it :) i have a driving licence and i hate driving! instead, i couldn't live without my bike.

PHILOSOPHY

the best is yet to come!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Last summer (austral summer) i travelled with my friend Cris to Chile, Bolivia, Perú and Paraguay, and in most cases we were put up by couchsurfers. I was already a member, but a crappy one, as i had never written anything about me or my experiences. now, i'm trying to fix this!

Music, Movies, and Books

best book ever read: Rayuela by Julio Cortazar. In the last weeks i was reading contemporary English and American writers (Horbny, Lethem, Carver) and some poetry (Pizarnik, Paz). I love rock music (Mike Patton has been my idol for more than a decade). Lately i'm listening to Mars Volta, ATDI, math rock and - i must admit - some of those freaky bands like MGMT. I love Fever Ray and in general all the music from northern Europe... and the list could go on and on!
