About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live life! Have always been a girl in control, but now I am leaving my soul to coincidence and I am excitied about whatever will meet my on my way! (6 years later: well, I am definitely not a girl in control anymore - I let go, and know I am living lif
ABOUT ME
*Sorry, that I only have replied to 21% of incoming requests - I didn't have an available couch for a period and didn't check my mailbox, and ended up with 300 requests - unfortunately impossible to reply back to them all - I will of course reply back in the future, when my couch is available:)
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe Diem - no matter how ironic and superficial it may sound after you have heard it many times it is and always will be my philosophy with some reservations - act SMART and THINK before you speak, but live your life the FULLEST... (Now 3 years later I would like to update the last quotation: Live your the FULLEST and do what you want as long as you aren't too proud to say apologize for your stupidities! We are after all only human:))
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by offering my sofa. I am participating by describing myself and the life I live to help other foreigners to understand and get to know other cultures and people. Also by visiting other CouchSurfers I participate in making the gaps between cultures smaller...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have traveled all over America, south, central, USA etc. and I absolutely LOVED couchsurfing - it is an amazing experience that I wouldn't give up for anything! All in all just traveling is the best thing you can do for yourself in life - it is definitely my BEST and wildest experience in life. I am a whole other person today. Don't forget to mix your traveling with couchsurfing.
Interests
Social Life of course... I love spending time with my friends and get to know new faces. My whole week is always booked with gatherings, parties. MUSIC - I spend a lot of time singing and have been taught and partcipating in several bands - I become depressive when I do not sing. I am studying Psychology at KU - It is hard, but I love it - it is creepy interesting in a way;) I also work with children at the age of 3 right now and they have spiced my life up a bit - new surprises every day at work:) Besides work. I'm a lucky woman with the life and opportunities I have. I have a great interest in animals and geography and I support WWF, WSPA and UNICEF. In the future I would like to work as a psychologist inside UNICEF. I live in a commune with these 3 amazing girls and we share everything - thoughts as well:) The best thing in life is meeting people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is my other half and it fills up the emptyness you may have in your life:) Erykah Badu is the greatest singer I know with a lot of philosophy in her texts. You could think I was black if you heard me sing and my passion lies with BLACK MUSIC. Soul and funk (and jazz)... Jill Scott, D'Angelo, Thomas Dybdahl, Bob Dylan, Cassius, Daft Punk, Eva Cassidy, Lisa Egdahl, Vanessa Paradis, Prodigy. I like movies - especially scary movies even though they have made me extremely paranoid, but if I had to choose I could live with 2 channels: Animal Planet and Discovery. Documentary I prefer. Actually I'm not a book-reader even though I would like to be - I always fall asleep while reading a book - I'm more like an adventurist - if that's even a word - I like to experience and see things with my eyes and touch things with my hands... Though I have read The DaVinci Code. I would rather read specielist litterature...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done and experinced a lot of amazing things in my life I personally think. But crazy and wild things I have never done. On my trip to Southamerica I'm hoping to develope into taking more chances, because I'm a very careful girl. Nothing has swepped me of my feet yet...
3 years later:
Wow, what HAVEN'T I done by now. While traveling I just let go - let go off every fobia or assumption I might have had of people and life and just jumped into things - I was an empty glass ready to be filled! I have been horseriding, riverrafting, hiking in the mountains, SKYDIVING, living with the natives, experiencing primitive living, diving with stingrays and a whole lot of other stuff I won't tell a soul;) And I have seen everything there is to see in SouthAmerica. I'VE DONE THE F*^%ING BURNING MAN!!! But the MOST amazing thing I have ever done is meeting amazing people while traveling - I cannot describe the feelings involved - precious memories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can contribute with my knowledge of a life in Denmark - of a life in the West - how it is like, benefits etc. I'm living in a country that provides us with many opportunities which I have utilized. I have been protected against many things and therefore I can imagine that I will learn many things about cultures, lifestiles and the injustice, which probably will open my eyes for another world, than the one I live in...
