About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"To be or not to be (Hamlet), to see or not to see (Dalí)."
ABOUT ME
Friendly, trustworthy, dependable, creative, intuitive, active, caring. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I am continuing to grow and improve myself. I go with the flow and try to see the best in things. I love learning in all types of ways. I love cooking, trying new recipes, and improvising. I love doing things I know I'm afraid to do and pushing my limits. I try to keep up with news both local and global. I work to reaffirm my beliefs through lifestyle; live simply, educate myself, and stand my ground yet stay open to whatever the truth may be.
PHILOSOPHY
Know and trust yourself. You get what you give.
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." FDR
I work to dissolve fear from my mind, and have found fear in the most unexpected places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to go to events and meet locals and other travelers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A couchsurfing newbie! Excited to meet locals when I travel and have a home to stay in! I definitely want to host, once I have a more permanent residence...
Interests
Swimming, hiking, biking, yoga/stretching, dancing. I have to be outside! I will usually have a book or two with me, and a notebook of some sort. Reading for fun/creative inspiration and writing as an outlet to discuss or understand whatever train of thought I happen to be on. I like finding free things to do and trying things I've never done before, even if it's something small. I'm a big people watcher and surrounding observer, I find inspiration for thought in the lives of people I pass whether stranger or friend. I am always up for a music show, anything that gets the crowd moving is good for me. I love when the band can get their audience going and just connects with them on a down-to-earth level. Music is a universal language.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first backpacking trip was through the Ozarks, 25 miles and amazing views...especially in the morning or evening, the fog would hover in between the rolls of blue mountains. It was breathtaking to see that and know how strong my body is and where it can take me. I love things like that because they jump start you, they wake you up and remind you that you're alive and you have things to do!
Night swimming back home in Barton Springs, Austin. There's something cleansing about the springs, and at night when the water is as black as the sky, you feel as if there is nothing between you and the water, that somehow you've achieved complete osmosis. It's a good place to think and be completely at ease.
