ABOUT ME

goofy, silly, offbeat. love to listen. love to watch the world go by sometimes. have no problem eating out on my own ;) may not necessarily be sane, but then everyone is a bit dysfunctional, just a matter of how much. ask me anything and i will tell.

i love to just go off on my own to a different country and see what happens. it has not happened often though, because of family commitments. but it's time to take charge of my own time!

i grew up in a city, very sanitised. but i learnt i like the mountains and i like the beach. just seeing a landscape that isn't shopping malls excites me.

i like to cook. i like to share the simple dishes my grandma cooked for me when i was growing up. someday i want to go back to the village my grandma was from. i know everything would have changed, it would not be exactly like my grandma's time. but i want to know where all her recipes came from.

PHILOSOPHY

knowledge is what you know, and admitting what you don't know. the more you know, the more you should realise you don't know!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i've moved to tilburg and now live in a tiny room in a student house. i have an inflatable mattress if you don't mind being wedged between the bed and the door. otherwise, we have an awesome huge high (enough) pressure shower and plenty of eye candy on my floor.

if you come to singapore, i can meet you for a drink or a meal because i still live with my parents, the house belongs to them :)

if you need advice on the places i've been to, i can always share what i know.

for all other worries, i can just listen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

not directly yet! i have met my friend's couchsurfing friends (nick and nic from kl!) who visited singapore, we're all friends now :)

i know several people in my social circle who are couchsurfers and these friends have told me only good things about their CS travels!

i can teach you a few quick easy teochew dishes from my childhood :) they taste great! i guess i can also teach you a bit of chinese =p
