Chi sono
CURRENT MISSION
To tell the story my hands are so eager to write.
ABOUT ME
I'm generous and protective, outgoing but cautious. I can handle myself in most any situation. I'm a bit of a dork and a lot of a geek, with a taste of nerd thrown in for good measure. Still, I can function within 'normal' society (not to say that is either good or bad). I'm loyal and will do anything for people that I care about. My trust is freely given.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy on life is much similar to what I've already said. Everything in life has a story waiting to be told. You can never know the whole story of something, but in witnessing a chapter your life can be changed. I want to tell stories that will be read years from now, that parents will one day tell their children to read, and those children will tell their friends and one day their own children to read. My hands pray every moment of every day that someone, someday, will love the story they want to tell.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I haven't gotten to couch surf yet, but hope to soon! I want to use CS as a way not only to get out and see the world, but to meet people and share stories with them. To me, this idea is more than about finding a place to sleep. Consider me a traveling bard; I will pay you with tales of this world and others for a room, ears that will listen, and mouths that will tell!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have to say I haven't had ANY experience with CS yet, but can't wait to get started!
Interessi
I love the arts, of all types. Why? Because I love stories. Books, plays, paintings, sculptures, weaving, tattoos, pottery, everything has a story in it somehow. I'm currently studying as a Classics major, with a minor in Writing as well as one in Medieval & Renaissance Studies. My focus is in language and mythology. I want to relate the two; see how they influenced and changed each other. You can't tell a story without a language, be it images or words. I love writing, but I also hate it. I don't have a choice about being a writer - I was born to do it, whether I want to or not. Thankfully, I (almost always) do. Another deep interest of mine? Books. Not necessarily the words in them, though those are very much a part of it, and I am interested in them as well. But the physical structure of books is something that I've always loved learning the history of. I have a small collection of older books that I adore.

Musica, film e libri
Music: I love metal, but I'll listen to anything that has a good sound and is performed well! I'm interested in learning about traditional music of countries around the world, so feel free to enlighten me. I love deep bass rhythms and drum solos, but also enjoy things like soft and emotion-filled piano, and there's a special place in my heart for a jazz flute. Some of my favorite bands include AC/DC, Amon Amarth, Darkest Hour, Corvus Corax, and Simon & Garfunkel.
Books: I love all books! Or at least the vast majority. Stories, however, are ...a different... story... Ow. That pun was so bad it hurts, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! Anyway. Undine, Shiver, Harry Potter, The Call of Earth series by Orson Scott Card, the first three books of the Earth's Children series by Jean M. Auel, Under My Hat (short stories), and Steampunk! (short stories. All very good books.
Movies: Labyrinth, Brave, Sleeping Beauty (Disney 1959 - and I prefer her dress in blue), The 5th Element, V for Vendetta, Ratatouille, Howl's Moving Castle, Young Frankenstein, The Avengers, Hocus Pocus, Batman Begins (all three movies actually), Watchmen, The Fountain, The King's Speech, Thor, Gabriel... Many others I can't think of right now.
TV: Babylon 5, Firefly, Stargate Atlantis, Supernatural, House (seasons 1-3)... Various "house hunting" shows on HGTV...
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Well something that really stands out in my memory are the simplest trips I've ever taken: a few hours spent out stargazing far away from light pollution, either with my parents or with my love. And of course, spending a semester abroad in Greece!!
Insegna, impara, condividi
Need a cheap, fast meal that's tasty? You can do this with either a frying pan or an oven. Take some sort of bread like pita or naan and cover it with spinach, a little cheese, and chicken. Heat it up until the cheese is gooey! Honestly, this is a cheap meal that tastes great and can be done fast when you're in a pinch. Pita/Naan from the bread aisle, spinach from either the veggies section or the frozen food aisle, and a can of chicken can all be purchased for about 5 bucks, and can feed several people! Note that if you're heating this in a frying pan, you might want to use butter on the bottom of your bread to keep it from burning or sticking.
