About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Creatively having fun while making things better.
ABOUT ME
We are a couple in our 50s with a life long interest in art, cross cultural connections, and human well being.
Beth:
I've lived all over the U.S. and now enjoy calling Sonoma County home. I love creativity, design, social psychology, hiking/walking, and Eric.
Eric:
I've spend most of my life in California and Japan, and have travelled through Asia. I enjoy language, philosophy, design, and challenges (and Beth!).
Together we have a business called Create The Good Life which explains a whole lot about what we do and who we are [www.CreateTheGoodLife.com].
PHILOSOPHY
At this point in our lives we are mostly interested in being of service and doing what we can to help make things better. We enjoy connecting with people and learning about things from their perspective.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Both of us have been involved in cross-cultural exchanges since our teens (which is a long time ago!)Beth started as a H.S. exchange student to Quito, Ecuador, and has since worked with numerous exchange groups and Eric has run numerous exchanges with Japanese students. We have exchanged our home with others around the country. We've had one great CouchSurfing experience in Grass Valley and we are psyched for more.

Music, Movies, and Books
We love lots of movies, especially quirky slice of life films set in unusual locations and documentaries about people pursuing their passions.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Connecting with people is always inspiring and a thrill, especially when you speak different languages or have completely different life experiences. In the 1980s I was the first Westerner my Chinese students had ever met which was incredible for me (Beth) and exploring the trails and villages of Nepal was the realization of a life long dream (Eric). More recently discovering the beautiful world of tropical fish while snorkling was amazing.
