CURRENT MISSION

I just want to see the world before I settle down in one place. Plus I think a Global perspective is incredibly important in making life decisions.

ABOUT ME

First I should probably mention I was raised in the middle of Michigan, i.e. farmland. So I know a LOT about hard work- physical and otherwise- it's just an ethic I have. But then I should tell you it's been my dream to escape that- hence why I moved to Chicago for school. Im bossy and detail oriented, but I love to travel and gain new perspectives- so I'm studying International Business. I love love love music and anything to do with it- playing, dancing, singing, listening-- all of it, all types, all the time. And since I was raised Roman Catholic I also have this deep seated need to help people. I love community service and mission work programs like the Peace Corps and Habitat for Humanity. Also- I read as voraciously as I can. I think literacy is SO important-- books have a way of lifting you out of your deepest hole and letting you go places you could never get otherwise.

PHILOSOPHY

Currently?? I dont have one!! But isn't that half the fun and all the purpose of youth: to figure it out?

How am I building THIS community? Well, I'm not doing anything yet. I just signed up! Currently Im just surfing- but in the future I think it will be really important not only use this as a sight to let people travel, but to use it as a tool to ENCOURAGE people from all over the world to join together in shared interests ^^

MUSIC!!!! All types (no, seriously) and everything to do with it: production and behind the scenes work, singing, dancing, playing, going to shows-- all of it!
Books- reading is SO important, and people really overlook its value.
Art, especially ceramics, though Im not usually fond of contemporary/modern....

I think something I can really teach is appreciation. i appreciate EVERYTHING with great intensity- usually coming off as just over-excited. But you have to be excited for life!! I think that is something that will rub off on people for sure haha. I love learning to cook! I mean, I can follow a recipe like no other- but the problem with America is that there isnt any one thing that is strictly AMERICAN- so I love learning dishes that are important to a culture specifically.
