ABOUT ME

After travelling a lot, I've finally (temporarily?) settled in Dakar for a year or two and maybe more :)

I like running (a lot, long distance) and football (especially indoor, I just discovered it!), but also partying, travelling, and other basic stuff

I've moved a lot of times in my life, in different parts of France an abroad. I've lived 8 years in Africa, 1 year in Martinique and 1 year in Jamaica - yes, living in Jamaica is really cool but not necessarily for the reason you think ;) Learned a lot from these experiences and the people I met.... and I hope I'll be able to continue travelling and discover more.

Since I move all the time, I am used to meeting new people so I usually get quite comfortable quickly (hope you won't mind !)

From couchsurfing, I'm hoping to have experiences that take me out of my comfort zone because I find that's when we learn the most. And sometimes I try to do that in everyday life (but usually I forget, sort of.)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been able to host only once because I've never had my own place but hopefully this will change soon !
Other than that I've surfed, met up with couchsurfers for sports or drinks... I try to participate by being nice and bringing a little something to my host (both literally and figuratively)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met couchsurfers in Martinique, France and Belgium and surfed at other people's places in Miami, New Orleans and Ireland... discovered amazing new people and things everytime, but I give a special mention for my hosts in the US for being so friendly !

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I don't watch many movies (any advice?) but like reading classics (French, American....) I particularly like Alexandre Dumas books and enjoyed the Tales of the City series (Armistead Maupin), To kill a mockingbird and The world according to Garp. Feel free to advise me :)
In terms of music, a year in Jamaica has taught me to like Dancehall (not all) but I listen mostly to anything....these days I'm into classic Hip Hop

Waking up at 4 to see lions, girafes, zebras, leopards and other wild animals in Uganda

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I like to learn about daily life in places I travel to, to have another perspective than my tourist's point of view...and maybe bring my own point of view. I've lived in very different places so I can tell you a bit about life there !
I also want to learn to ride a bike without hands.
And Wolof.
