Hey! my name is Merijn and i am from the Netherlands.

At the moment I am traveling in Asia and started using the Couchsurfing platform for the first time. The places I want to visit are Vietnam 🇻🇳, Cambodia 🇰🇭 and Thailand 🇹🇭 I do not have any fixed plan so im free to do whatever i feel like and are able to change my plan along the way.

During my travel I would love to do some volunteering and be able to help with different kind of projects. I want to see the world and get to know different cultures. I love history and trying new and local dishes.

In my daily life I’m an Strength and Conditioning coach and nutritionist as well, in my free time i love to work out and be outside to explore nature or new places. I really love everything about sport, health and nutrition and i would love to share my knowledge or just to talk about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For a long time now i always wanted to travel to Asia by myself and learn about the different cultures. I like to meet new people with different views to exchange thoughts, to get to know different traditions/ cultures and just to have a good time with people i never met before.

Also I want to place myself outside of my comfort zone, learn and grow as a person, traveler and human. I want to make new friends and create memories i could always have a good look back on.
