ABOUT ME

I moved to Edmonton recently and am looking for new friends! I love being outdoors and can often be found camping, hiking, kayaking or playing games in a park.

PHILOSOPHY

I am not a philosophical person at all. I try to live life to the fullest which for me means embracing random, last minute ideas and just doing them, even if people think I am a little crazy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I met up with the CS Melbourne group all the time when I lived there and met some awesome people. I hosted 40+ people when I lived in Vancouver. I opened a new account after that because I used to get at least 10 CS requests per day, despite my profile saying I couldn't host during the Olympics. During the Olympics we had 13 people staying in our 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done a lot of unofficial CouchSurfing in the past and think it's a great way to meet new people! As of late couchsurfing has hooked me up with a rideshare from Calgary to Vancouver and a housesitting job in Vancouver. I finally surfed with some fantastic people :)

I'll watch, listen or read just about anything. I have a secret love of country. Don't worry if you don't like it, I won't subject you to it. Just make sure to bring your own tunes if we are going on a road trip together!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh there are so many it's hard to choose... I was on a university trip in China and we were told we were going on a bike ride for the morning. The bike ride turned into a 16 hour long journey through rice paddies. It was amazing to be so removed from technology and to meet people who had never seen a white person before.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you need help finding a cheap flight or planning a trip I can do my best to help you. I want to learn more about my own country so I am looking to meet people who want to take weekend trips from Edmonton. I also want to learn another language and become a better cook. I am not a terrible cook but I lack imagination in the kitchen.
