About Me
CURRENT MISSION
live out of a two seater for 3 months
ABOUT ME
I grew up in a small mill town in western Massachusetts. I left traditional education when I was 15 to switch to a homeschooling resource center. This place gave me the freedom to choose the direction of my own education and I soon discovered I loved sound design and electronic music.
I am passionate about alternative communities and live in a communal house in the woods with 11 other people. In 2009 I became involved in the effort to save the house which was in foreclosure. We successfully got the house from the bank and with any luck (and a lot of hard work) we hope to make it sustainable.
I spend most of my free time making ambient music, DJ'ing, working on community projects, and saving for traveling/music equipment.
Over the past couple years I have started attending rainbow gatherings.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to the couchsurfing project. This summer I will be couchsurfing for the first time on a 9,000 mile journey across the continent and back to several different festivals/gatherings.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Most of my couchsurfing experience has been through my community. I live in a large communal house across the road from a retreat center/ecovilliage, so we see a fair amount of visitors. Some even come back and move in!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most fun I've ever had was facilitating the preparation of a kitchens main circle dish at the 2010 national Rainbow Gathering. Got lost in the woods/swamp for 6 hours in the night dragging a cart of food behind me. Finally found a kitchen and told them what I wanted to do, went back for a second load of ingredients, and spent the next 9-10 hours doing prep work and cooking that kitchens share of dinner for a few thousand.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love talking about experimental music, films, technology and spend lots of time digging up weird stuff. I also love Indian food and cooking with people.
