About Me

ABOUT ME

Always curious; good at starting conversations and random late night dance parties.

PHILOSOPHY

Stay open and believe that everything is possible. Don't be judge-y. Don't take a lot of shit. Take care of everyone unless they give you a strong reason not too. Take even better care of your friends. Work out, stay healthy, make interesting stuff happen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and travelling.

Interests

I really like books. I spend as much time as possible reading both fiction and non-fiction. The best novel I read last year was Franzen's Freedom. Right now I'm reading a book about sailing in heavy weather, which is one of my other interests (sailing, that is, not necessarily sailing in heavy weather). I'm super passionate about good food. I certainly slum it at the diner from time to time, but for the most part I cook at home, using mostly organic meats and veggies. I also like physical activity and I do some crossfit from time to time. My number one favorite thing, however, is writing and directing films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Being adrift in a sea kayak in the middle of the night, 40 miles off the west coast of Panama. Before the moon came up, the only light was the purple bioluminescence in the water. The Pacific Ocean was totally flat, and my friend and I were navigating using the stars and following each other's purple paddle strokes. It was amazing.

2. Driving a rental car into Prague in the middle of the night in the middle of winter. We were dropping out of the hills down towards the city and blasting euro-techno off the local radio. The city sparkled below and it just seemed so incredibly different and so full of promise.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you need any negotiation advice, I get paid to teach lawyers how to negotiate, and I will gladly discuss your issue with you. I can also give you solid guidance on screenwriting and filmmaking. Random couple of areas, I know.
