About Me
Hey, I'm Merle, a left-green, travel-enthusiastic person, always open to make new contacts and exciting experiences. In Germany I am living in Eberswalde, a small town close to Berlin, where I study Landscape Management and Nature Conservation. I live together with eight other people in a shared flat, which I really enjoy. Mid September I'm moving to Seville to do a three-month internship at the "Doñana Biological Station" and I am currently looking for a place to stay for the start in Seville.
I'm interested in meeting new people, hiking, nature, historical places, art, cooking together and sharing experiences in general. I'd say that I'm an easy going and very social person, always open for some activities and a nice chat, but also very respectful about others' boundaries.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't need much comfort or a fancy place to stay. For me, the people around me are more important to feel comfortable. I think couchsurfing is a good way to meet local people and experience a place not only as a tourist.

Teach, Learn, Share
Currently I'm really interested in organical gardening and sustainable ways of living. Thats why I've been doing Wwoofing (volunteer work on organic farms) last year for two month in Spain, which was an amazing experience. It's a great way to get to know local live and people. I appreciate working and living together in a group and share experiences and knowledge with one another, so I think couchsurfing could be a great way to do so as well. I'd be happy to learn more about gardening and could also share what I already know.
Further I'm always interested in trying out new sports, I'd like to try surfing again, since the last time is already a long time ago. I like any kind of outdoor activities, camping, bouldering, snorkeling, hiking, cycling or roller blading are one of my interests. As well I'm a big fan of Yoga and I'm always happy to share a session with others.
I love to cook for or with other people, so thats always a good way to learn new dishes from all over the world.
