ABOUT ME

I live in Bogota, I have been in Colombia a few years now, lived on the coast and here in the capital. Getting a bit settled here now!
I am living in a shared apartment, enjoying meeting people and just getting on with life really. ;)
If you want to stay we have a sofa bed in the lounge, which is pretty comfortable, and fits a couple, just about! We also have a few thin mattresses, and a bit of spare bedding, but if you have a blanket or sleeping bag that helps as it gets pretty cold here!
We live in a shared apartment, consisting of An Argentinian, a Colombian, 2 people from the states, and little old welsh me.
We all work in the week, so go to bed early, but still socialise, and we leave the partying for the weekends.
If you would like to stay with us, I would suggest you need to be open minded and relaxed. In the week or weekends are both fine, but be aware that noise needs to be kept to a minimum in the nights during the week, as some of us (me!) wake up at 5.30 am.
If you want to stay I would like to know that you have read my profile, so please let me know that you have, and tell me or ask me something about myself.
That way I know you have read the profile and know what you are getting yourself in for!

Yo vivo en Bogotá, he estado en Colombia hace algunos años, vivía en la costa y ya vivo en la capital. Ya empezo acostombrarme de vivir aqui!
Estoy viviendo en un apto compartido, disfrutando de conocer gente y simplemente adelantando con la vida realmente. ;)
Si usted desea quedar aqui tenemos un sofá cama en el salón, que es bastante cómoda, y se adapta a una pareja, mas o menos! También tenemos unos colchones delgados, y un poco de sabanas y cobijas, pero si usted tiene una cobija o bolsa de dormir eso si ayudará, porque que hace bastante frío aquí!
Vivimos en un apto compartido, que consista de un argentino, un colombiano, 2 personas de los estados unidos, y yo mismo, el Gales.
Todos trabajamos en la semana, así que vamos a la cama temprano, pero aún socializamos, pero dejamos la rumba para los fines de semana.
Si usted desea quedarse con nosotros, me permito sugerir que usted necesita para tener la mente abierta y relajada. Entre la semana o los fines de semana me parece bien para quedarse, pero tenga en cuenta que el ruido debe mantenerse al mínimo en las noches durante la semana, ya que algunos de nosotros (yo) se despierta a las 5.30 am.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Depends on where I am and when I am, but would like to be more involved in all this travelling malarkey really. :)
I have never really surfed, but like hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I Live in a shared apartment that is just right for surfers.
I have also had many couch surfers at my old house, when I lived with 2 others who have profiles. I have been unofficially couch surfing for years in the UK!!!!

Interests

I like travelling, but that is no big deal here right!!
I like playing sports, and trying new things, I am an avid rugby fan, even playing when the opportunity presents itself!
I have just taken up boxing, and am enjoying it, when I have time, the job is getting in the way a bit. Surprisingly my school don´t like seeing their teachers come to work with black eyes!!

I used to work in conservation, and still have my passion for working with the natural environment, and would like to return to this someday, and at times I enjoy my role as a science geek! (I am a science teacher)

Love fantasy novels, and I have just figured out how to use my kindle, loving being able to read freely for the first time in ages!!
Best book? Catch 22. So funny it brings tears to your eyes and you can't keep reading!!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Will pick two stand out moments, the first one, howling with wolves while working in Indiana, in a wolf conservation facility.
The second..... After spending 5 months raising and living and sleeping with 2 Serval cats on a mountain in Africa, I had to release them, and began a tracking programme with radio collars. Before finally leaving to go home I tracked princess (the most beautiful Serval cat in the world)into a small valley, when she popped up out of a stream, and charged at me and literally bowled me to the floor. I have never been so over joyed to be covered in cat drool.
