Overview
About Me
I'm a recent graduate of UTDallas. I work for an IT company in management. I have a boyfriend in the city but live in the country and had farm animals. I like to take the train into Dallas for the theater or live band. I like to shop at thrift stores, like to wear hats to keep the sun off my face, have a membership at a winery, comfortable in all types of venues, avoid sugar and carbs, love animals, science fiction books and movies. I am tolerant of all types of people and beliefs.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting local people rather than being the sterile tourist. I also hate "roach motels", so I'm ready to try couch surfing. I am an excellent, respectful guest. My motto in life has been to leave a place better than you found it.
I don't have high expectations since I'm new. I can keep my distance and respect your privacy. But, if you happen to love great conversation over a bottle of wine, I will bring the wine!
Interests
I love the city arts and entertainment. I'm not a sports nut, but understand if you are. I don't smoke, need a way to get coffee in the morning, love wine in the evening, hate all types of racism, love most music (especially country), enjoy the outdoors, sunburn easily, avoid sugar/carbs and junk food, and I like to meet new people and make new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Matrix (all three), The Hunger Games, Roots, The Good Earth, anything Isaac Asimov writes, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, top 40, new country, The Walking Dead (my kids got me hooked), musicals, classic rock, and National Geographic.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went back to college after 20 years as a stay home mom. Went to Hawaii last summer for 2 weeks by myself--best trip ever!
Teach, Learn, Share
Never say never or always. Don't despise small beginnings. Take care of yourself first, or you're no good to anyone else. And, work on balance in everything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Household chores, a great smile, and a kind heart, wine and/or groceries, and accompany around town anywhere you would want to go (not in that order).
Countries I’ve Visited
Germany, Mexico
