I'm Merve. I was working as an engineer in Turkey but wasn't happy at all. So I decided to quit my job and live in Europe. I'm working as a volunteer in a youth center in Germany now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was hitchhiking and camping in Turkey and met great people. Traveling is not only going popular places and staying hotels for me. If I met local people, have a chat with them, learn their culture, then I feel like I traveled.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was hitchhiking in Turkey. My plan was camping next to the lake. But I met an old couple and they offered me to stay at their house. Because the weather was cold and upstairs was available to stay. I said "yes" and stayed there for the weekend. It was the best experience for me.
