Overview
About Me
I’m Meryem, a 22-year-old female master's student pursuing a degree in international business. I consider myself friendly, adaptable, and eager to meet new people.
I enjoy discovering new cultures, and I see traveling as a great way to learn and grow. I’ve always appreciated meaningful conversations and exchanging experiences with others.
I’m a non-smoker, neat, and respectful of shared spaces. You can count on me to follow house rules and help out when needed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe it’s more than just a way to find a place to stay—it’s an opportunity to connect with amazing people, share stories, and learn from each other.
As a student traveling for an internship, I’m looking for an affordable and meaningful way to experience life in Ankara. Staying with a host allows me to immerse myself in the local culture, gain insights into the city, and build genuine connections.
I love the idea of cultural exchange, and I’m always excited to meet new people who can teach me about their perspectives while I share a bit about my own background. For me, Couchsurfing is about kindness, mutual respect, and the joy of forming new friendships across borders.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I love watching films that make you think or touch your heart—my favorites are Green Book and Inception.
Books: I enjoy stories that are thought-provoking and emotional. My favorite book is They Both Die at the End.
Music: I listen to all kinds of music, but country music is my favorite, especially when I’m on the road—it’s the perfect travel companion!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’m pursuing a master’s degree in international business, which has always been my dream. This field perfectly aligns with my passion for cultural exchange, allowing me to connect with people from different backgrounds, explore global markets, and contribute to fostering international relationships.
Teach, Learn, Share
During my free time, I like reading, journaling, and exploring new places. I’m also passionate about improving my language skills and would be happy to practice English, Turkish, French or Arabic with anyone interested!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my love for cultural exchange through engaging conversations about my experiences in international business and traveling, I can also share insights about my home country’s traditions and cuisine (even if I can’t cook, I can teach you about it 😊). Additionally, I’m a great listener and always up for exchanging stories, music recommendations, and movie discussions.
